What you need is the mods.pack files, some mods are manual install and you can just download the folders straight to your mac downloads folder but some come as an.exe installer so you will need a wrapper, something like wineskin, to install/download it to your desktop. Works Pretty Well, With A Few Hiccups
When I first purchased this game, I couldn’t even get through an entire campaign without it freezing and crashing. Now those major problems seem to have been fixed, as it is entirely possible to play through the entire game. However, there are still some issues. When engaging in diplomacy with another nation, the screen to trade technologies often freezes, so even if you switch between the various tabs for military, industrial, and enlightenment technologies, the screen will stay stuck on the industrial or enlightenment technologies, so you can’t select any others. This makes ending certain conflicts very difficult when you can’t see your available technologies to offer up in trade. Also, the game often gets stuck on certain nations when you end your turn and can take upwards of five to ten minutes for it to move past these nations and get back to your turn. The game no longer seems to crash during these situations, but this getting stuck does add up to an immense amount of time when playing a game that can be 200+ turns. All in all it’s a solid game, it’s gotten much more playable over time, and hopefully it’ll continue to improve.
No American Domination Allowed
This game is liiiiiit. It is super big, fun, and a great step up from the last total war game I played, Rome Total War. I really like the graphics, battles, and overall gameplay. But, I cannot dominate the world with the United States! Everytime I capture enough settlements in the Road to Independence mode, it says congratsand then crashes. I would love to keep playing and I only write this review so that something changes. This is a great game and I highly recommend buying it, and this game would be perfect if this issue is fixed.

After the completion of this Episode you will see a short movie about the formation of the United States. This indicates the end of the Road to Independence campaign. If the game is crashing at this point, please get in touch directly via support@feralinteractive.com
You should now be able to choose to start a campaign game as the United States by reentering the Road to Independence campaign and choosing United States from the right side of the screen.

Game has begun crashing
Game was initially working fine. Finished multiple campaigns with no issues. The game suddenly started crashing whenever a battle was loaded. Everything else works except the main purpose of the game….
I hope they fix this issue soon.

On Unix, use the following procedure to reset the password for the MySQL 'root'@'localhost' account. To change the password for a root account with a different host name part, modify the instructions to use that host name. The instructions assume that you will start the MySQL server from the Unix login account that you normally use for running it. Aug 10, 2016 I installed MySQL Community 5.7.13 and MySQL Workbench 6.3.7 on a Mac. Install is complete and services are started. I may have had a older install on the same Mac. I don't believe I supplied a password for root during the install. Problem is I can't connect in Workbench since I don't know the root password. An alternative to using the mysqladmin command when setting the MySQL or MariaDB root password the first time is to use the mysqlsecureinstallation command. This command will not only ask for the old- and new MySQL root password but will also do some other security settings like disabling the test database.
