Turn the McCulloch chainsaw upside down, and locate the serial number plate, which is a metal plate on the bottom of the chainsaw. Scan the plate for the word 'Model' followed by a series of letters and numbers; the letters and numbers are the model of the chainsaw. A model number example is 'CS 380.'
