Can someone help me please? I have a petition running on Go Petition, and AVG is refusing to let me open it saying it has the above virus. I can't contact Go Petition because AVG won't let me open it - not sure what to do.

Hello Jenny,
I understand the situation. I suggest you disable AVG (Open AVG Internet Security > menu > settings > Troubleshooting > Passive Mode > Turn off the AVG Passive mode) and check if you are able to open the Go program.

My mistake - it did work! I wasn't doing it properly. Only thing is I don't want to have to go all through that and restart twice every time. Am I OK to make this site an exception, or does it really have a virus?

Scroll down to the bottom of the page and press the “Advanced” link. Now scroll down until the “Reset” section is visible, as shown below and click the “Reset settings to their original defaults” button.

The Chrome will open the confirmation dialog box as shown on the screen below.

You need to confirm your action, click the “Reset” button. The web-browser will launch the process of cleaning. When it’s finished, the browser’s settings including search provider, newtab and homepage back to the values which have been when the Google Chrome was first installed on your system.

Delete unwanted Scheduled Tasks

Once installed, the JS/CoinMiner can add a task in to the Windows Task Scheduler Library. Due to this, every time when you launch your PC, it will start a process of cryptocurrency mining. So, you need to check the Task Scheduler Library and remove all harmful tasks which have been created by malware.
